We are adding 5 stand this year so will be shooting skeet and 5 stand on Saturdays and in the mornings of Easter and Mothers Day Weekends. This will allow us to have more time to work with the athletes on skeet and 5 stand. Please check the schedule for days and times we will be shooting.
Sign up begins Tuesday, February 3rd .
Last day to have your $125.00 school fee turned in is Friday March 13th.
League sign up deadline is Monday March 23rd @ 12:00 noon.
You must have your firearm safety certificate or have completed the S.A.F.E. program through the HST league to participate.
The cost to shoot is $125.00 for each discipline. Make checks payable to Mora or Ogilvie Public Schools, which includes school charges, shells, and targets. A non-refundable league fee of $40.00 will be due when you register on the league website. Also, if you choose to participate in the state championship shoots, the cost is $50.00 trap & skeet, $65.00 for 5 stand .
Some schools are charging $400.00 to $600.00 we charge much less because of grants and donations from organizations such as Midway USA, Pheasants Forever, Friends of the NRA, KCC Range, Snake River MDHA, Jim Jordan MDHA, Turkey Federation, Ogilvie, Mora, and Grasston Lions Clubs, ECE, Neighborhood National Bank, First Citizens National Bank, Thomas Snow Sports, David Howe, Alec Barnick, Spire Credit Union, Northpost Inc, Stenstrom Collision, Dale & Wendy Barnick, Braham Moose Lodge, Autumn Breeze Kennel, C.E. Rogers, Crystal Bar, Remax, Red Stone, Sherman Lumber, Sherman Builders, Bartz Accounting, Paul’s Auction, Kadlec Excavating, and Hohn’s Auto Body.
Once I have you listed as a shooter with the league, the league will email you information on how to complete the registration.
If you are under 18 a parent must register for you.
You must adhere to all school rules the same as any other sport.
NEW IN 2025: THE LEAGUE SEEMS TO HAVE LIFTED SOME OF THE RESTRICTIONS ON BEING ABLE TO SHOOT AHEAD. STARTING IN 2025, IF YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE GONE FOR A LEAGUE ROUND, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SHOOT ONE WEEK AHEAD ON THE PREVIOUS LEAGUE DAY. YOU STILL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE UP ROUNDS IF YOU MISS A WEEK. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LETTING THE PERSON BEHIND THE SIGNUP DESK KNOW IF YOU ARE SHOOTING AHEAD.
