School Closings
When school is closed because of snow, bad weather, or emergencies, it will be announced on WCCO (830AM) and WCMP (100.9FM) radio stations from 6:00AM to 8:00AM.

Late starts and early dismissals will be announced on these radio stations as well. You may also check the canceled school listings on local television stations.

If school is canceled at any time there will be no Community Education or Activities events that day.

usagain.jpgHave you noticed the USAgain collection bins in our parking lot?
"According to the EPA, nearly 11 million tons of clothing and shoes end up in landfills each year." Help keep textiles out of the landfills by placing them in the green USAgain bins. Items donated will be collected by USAgain and supplied to thrift stores, wholesalers, and graders for reuse and recycling. Our school also earns $.02 per pound donated. The following items can be donated: T-shirts, blouses, dresses, jeans, coats, gym shoes, boots, sandals, socks, pajamas, hats, handbags, scarves, gloves, bedding, drapes, towels, etc. Items must be clean and dry.
About USAgain: " USAgain is a green for-profit company committed to reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment through the collection of unwanted textiles in an effort to conserve resources, fight climate change and offer affordable clothing to people worldwide." Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is Underway!

Ogilvie School District has implemented the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP). In 2012, all students in grades 3-12 were asked to complete an on-line bullying questionnaire. Results of the questionnaire were utilized by the Bullying Prevention Coordinating Committee to implement strategies to reduce existing bullying problems among students. Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, a kick off event was held to launch the program. For more information about OBPP, click here.
